Companies flock to Gujarat for mangoes

At least half a dozen companies are learnt to have approached mango growers in Junagadh, Valsad and other districts of South Gujarat. Some of the companies include Reliance Retail, Bharti Retail of Bharti Enterprises Group, Subhiksha and Mahindra & Mahindra.

Last year too, a few companies entered the markets at the end of the season but this year they have started negotiating with farmers at the onset of the season.
