A top DB Realty executive today admitted in a Delhi court that Associated Hotels, to which 2G spectrum case accused A Raja's former private secretary RK Chandolia had rented his property, was linked to his firm.
Testifying as a prosecution witness in the case, DB Realty Vice President (Regulatory) Vijender Kumar Sharma initially said he was not aware if Associated Hotels was linked to DB Realty in any manner but later said his statement to CBI, in which he had said the firm was a group company of DB Realty, was correct.
He deposed before Special CBI Judge OP Saini that he could not understand the CBI prosecutor's question regarding this initially and his statement to CBI was correct even today.
"I could not tell this fact [regarding the association of the firms] earlier due to inadvertence. I could not understand the question [of the prosecutor]. As per my knowledge, the statement given by me to the IO [CBI investigating officer] is correct.
