ED takes possession of 19 Emaar plots

This under Prevention of Money Laundering Act; no transaction includint sale of property is allowed

Enforcement Directorate(ED) on Friday said it has taken possession of 19 plots in the controversial Emaar Hills Township project under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and no transaction including sale of this property is allowed.

The move comes 7 months after the adjudicating authority had confirmed the provisional attachment  of the said plots measuring a total residential area of 25,810 square yards made by the ED in September last year. An investigation into the alleged irregularities committed by Emaar group in the township project by the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) had led to the attachment of these plots.
