State-owned GAIL today revived discussion with the state government about its investment plans for West Bengal after a hiatus of almost seven long years.

Chairman of GAIL BC Tripathi today called on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and made a power point presentation about its plans.

Earlier, GAIL had announced extension of HBJ gas pipeline to Haldia and acquisition of Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation.

Asked about the discussions with the chief minister, Tripathi said that the various investment plans had been talked out.

He declined to divulge the details.

Later, Tripathi met Industry minister Partha Chatterjee to discuss the plans in details.
