Plywood and laminate maker Greenply Industries today said it is planning to open around 25 exclusive stores across the country this financial year.
The Rs 725 crore company, which today opened its second exclusive store 'Green Design Studio' in the capital, is looking at building its brand through the outlets which will display its entire range of laminates and decorative plywoods.
"We currently hold around 15-16 per cent share in the estimated Rs 2,000 crore Indian laminate and plywood market. Our exclusive stores are intended to build our image and brand. And we plan to have 25 of them in this fiscal," said Subir Palit, country head (decorative), Greenply.
The showrooms would come up in cities including Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedbad, Pune and Chennai.
He said the studios will display its products, including over 500 designs of laminate and 200 imported veneers.
