Soon, Gujarat would name a road after legendary carmaker Henry Ford. Joginder Singh, managing director of Ford India, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company of the US, said, “The path leading to our plant in Sanand would be called Henry Ford Marg.” Asked how Gujarat was making a mark as one of the leading automobile hubs in the world, Singh quipped the company’s paint shop in Sanand would be technologically more advanced than its paint shop in the United States.
