Engineering construction major Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has posted a decline of 41 per cent in its net profit at Rs 18.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 against Rs 30.8 crore for the corresponding previous quarter.
During the period, net sales of the company was up 11 per cent at Rs 964 crore from Rs 865.9 crore over the prior year period. Total income of the company decreased to Rs 877 crore during the quarter against Rs 878 crore during the same period last year.
Shares of the company declined 0.18 per cent at Rs 111.25 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
