The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero Honda today reported a 16.13 per cent increase in its sales at 3,82,096 units last month, the best-ever reported by the company for the month of February.
The company had sold 3,29,005 units during the same month of last year, Hero Honda Motors (HHML) said in a statement.
HHML registered a cumulative sales of 41,85,492 units during the first 11 months of 2009-10, surpassing the target of 4 million units announced by the company earlier.
"Crossing the 4 million cumulative sales mark with a full month to go in the fiscal year is indeed heartening," HHML Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.
In the April-February period of last fiscal, the company had sold 33,68,658 units.
Dua said the figure registered during February is the highest-ever sales in the month by the company.
The company has introduced six new products so far this fiscal and said it will continue to add on to its portfolio.
"We will continue to build on our strategy of innovation and technology leadership by introducing value-added products, combined with innovative sales and marketing programs," Dua said, adding that all the recent launches have done well including the fuel-injected Karizma ZMR and its scooter Pleasure.
Sales of Pleasure crossed the 20,000 units mark during February.
