Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported a 37.63 per cent growth in sales to 1,32,330 units in August, 2010.
The company's total sales stood at 96,149 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, HMSI said in a statement.
Motorcycle sales jumped 52.69 per cent to 56,659 units in August this year from 37,108 units in August 2009, it added.
The company also reported an increase of 28.17 per cent in scooter sales to 75,671 units last month, compared to 59,041 units in the corresponding period a year ago.
