"Last year, we have announced that we would come up with Mobilio and Jazz within this financial year. However, the demand for Mobilio is exceeding our expectations and hence we have started the second shift at our second plant at Tapukara in Rajasthan. Stating that HCIL's two manufacturing units in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan together have an installed capacity of 240,000 a year, Kanayama said the company was expecting the two facilities to hit full capacity utilisation during the next financial year. HCIL is contemplating expanding its present production capacity, he said, while declining to put any numbers or time frame.
