IBS in marketing tie up with CTDS

IBS Software Services, a leader in software service provider to global travel, transportation and logistics business domain, has recently partnered with Cendant Travel Distribution Services (CTDS), a division of Cendant Corporation, for the marketing of its newly developed new generation passenger services system.

The company has also developed and successfully implemented Chameleon, a new generation cargo terminal operation system for the Emirates Group.

"The new generation passenger services system is a $30 million project, which has been designed to replace legacy technologies. The system is ready for its implementation and CTDS will be marketing our new generation passenger services system," V K Mathews, chairman and managing director, IBS Software Services, told Business Standard.

IBS has designed Chameleon to handle end-to-end management and monitoring of cargo consignments, from the time a consignment is delivered to the airline till its delivery at the destination airport.

The new system delivered by IBS is one of the largest and most complex system using new generation technologies for the airline cargo industry.

"Emirates had a very aggressive time schedule for completion, and we are quite delighted that we are able to cut over two large terminal operators from existing systems to the new system with minimal interruptions to their operations. The success of both system development and implementation is a demonstration of our commitment, competence and determination to succeed even under the most challenging circumstances," said Mathews.

The company headquartered in Kerala has its subsidiaries at Atlanta in the US, London and Zurich in Switzerland apart from two of its branches in Dubai and Sydney.

The company has reported a turnover of Rs 50 crore in the last financial year and has targeted a turnover of Rs 85 crore by the end of the current financial year.

"Chameleon is one of the largest IT system implementations which the Emirates Group has undertaken in recent times, and the project is strategically important for the group. Understandably, Chameleon was a big challenge, and IBS has made Chameleon a great success with their professionalism, competence and commitment," said Joshua Koshy, senior vice-president - information technology, Emirates Group.

With the implementation of Chameleon, Emirates SkyCargo and Dnata Cargo are operating with the most advanced cargo ground handling and warehouse management IT system in the aviation industry.
