Taking a stern stand over non-payment of dues, content aggregator the One Alliance (the joint venture between Multi Screen Media India and Discovery Networks India) had on 5 March cut off signals of MSM channels to all InCable subscribers (including subdiaries of the multi system operator or MSO).

The MSO and the aggregator are now in talks to resolve the issue at the earliest.

The cut off came after the aggregator had issued a public notice on 5 February regarding the matter.

According to One Alliance, despite of having collected the subscription fees from the customers, the MSO has failed to pay dues to the aggregator. The MSO has 8.5 million subscribers across 36 cities in India.

A similar notice has been addressed to Reliance Big Tv yesterday (5 March).

Rajesh Kaul, CEO, The One Alliance said, "Our teams on the ground are in talks with InCable and hopefully, we should be able to restart the signals as soon as possible."

While he refused to disclose the exact amount, he revealed that the outstanding dues are "a substantial amount."

An InCable spokesperson concurred, "The matter is being discussed  as we speak and is being resolved keeping in view the business interest and the viewer both in mind."

The channels in the One Alliance bouquet include SONY Entertainment Television, MAX, SAB, MIX, PIX, SIX, AXN, Animax, Aath, Discovery Channel, Discovery Channel Tamil, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo, Discovery Kids and high definition channels like Discovery HD World, SET HD, SIX HD along with Tv Today Network's channels like Headlines Today, Aaj Tak and Tez, Neo Prime and Neo Sports and Times Television Network channels – ET NOW, MOVIES NOW, TIMES NOW, zoOm.

While channels of Times Televison Network, Discovery and TV Today Network were avaiable to InCable subscribers,  signals of MSM and  had been turned off.
