A lease agreement for the same was inked yesterday between Infopark CEO Hrishikesh Nair and Vineet Varma, executive director (hospitality division) of the Brigade Group. The hotel will come up in 97 cents of land leased for 90 years (1 acre equals 100 cents).
The IT companies operating in the park could be benefitted from the project as the hotel will offer services to the clients and other top executives visiting the IT units from abroad, Nair said.
"We will zero in on an international hotel brand for the project, which is to be developed by meeting the timeline specified in the lease agreement," he added.
"Over 130 companies are operating in the park and the hotel will cater to the needs of the clients and top-level executives of these companies.
"We see this opportunity as a long-term investment to grow our businesses here over the next few decades," Varma said.
