James Hogan, president and chief executive of Etihad Airways, has been nominated as the vice-chairman of Jet Airways. As a part of share purchase agreement between Jet and Etihad (which holds 24 per cent stake in the former), it was agreed that Etihad would have the right to nominate a vice-chairman.

Etihad has two nominees on the full-service career board. Hogan along with chief financial officer James Rigney are on the board since the acquisition of 24 per cent stake in Jet in 2013. Hogan is also vice-chairman on Alitalia and Air Berlin boards.
