"KPMG in India today announces key strategic changes within its senior leadership team. These movements within the core leadership team are in sync with KPMG's long term aggressive growth plans to adapt to ever changing market dynamics," it said in a statement.
It also announced appointment of Vikram Hosangady as the head of Private Equity and Shalini Pillay as head of Human Resources of the company.
Commenting on Dasgupta's appointment, KPMG India Chief Executive Officer Richard Rekhy said,
"Given our increased focus on the consulting business, I am confident that Ambarish's able and proven leadership will help steer Management Consulting practice to achieve its true potential."
Dasgupta has around 25 years of experience in business consulting, IT consulting and implementation and outsourcing. He earlier worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
