The water technology business unit of construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today secured an international order worth Rs 850 crore from the Public Works Authority (ASHGHAL) of Qatar for advanced waste water treatment and urban reuse, a press release issued here said.
The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is scheduled to be operational by 2012, the release said.
The project work includes design, supply, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the Doha South Sewage Treatment Works Phase-II expansion, the release said.
The technology for the project is being provided by US-based ITT Corporation, which will be implemented by Galfar Al Misnad Engineering & Contracting WLL, Qatar, the release said.
