Electronics goods manufacturer LG Electronics India today said the company is aiming for a 30 per cent share of the room air conditioner market by the end of 2009.
The firm, which claims a 24 per cent market share in the room air conditioner segment, hopes to increase its footprint with the just-launched five series of 'energy-efficient' models, LG Electronics India (LGEIL) said in a statement.
"To cater to the evolving needs of our Indian consumer we have come up with an all new, refreshing and innovative range of air conditioners. With this range we aim at achieving a market share of 30 per cent by year end," LGEIL Business Group Marketing Head Ajay Bajaj said.
The five new series include 43 split AC models and 19 models of window ACs, the company said.
