Maruti to start 15 driving schools in the country

| Addressing a press conference here today, he said that MUL would commence MDS in major cities like New Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhuvaneswar and Jammu. The company has started MDS as a pilot project in Bangalore, Chandigarh and Kollam. |
| He said that MUL had already imparted training to 2400 persons of which 52 percent were women. All MDS would have a special women's wing with female instructors. The company will charge Rs 3500 per person for training in simulator, on road and class room lecture sessions. |
| He said that onroad driving classes would be in popular models of Maruti with A/C. The training course at MDS is as per international norms and learners would get class room, practical as well as attitude training. |
| A batch of 25 instructors (including 10 women) would impart training at the three schools in Kerala. All instructors have been given 15 days' training at the Institute of Driving Training and Research (IDTR) in New Delhi. |
| There would be standard learning package for beginners, MDS would also offer flexibility of additional learning modules so that learners can design a curriculum of their choice. |
