MRF posts Rs 38 cr loss in Q3

Tyre manufacturer MRF has reported a loss of Rs 38.3 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2008, as against a net profit of Rs 51.75 crore in the same period the previous year.

The company today informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that total sales in the same period increased by 18 per cent to 1,361.97 crore, as compared to Rs 1,154.73 crore in the same period a year ago.
