RCF Q4 net down 23% at Rs 39 cr

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF) today reported 23.35 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 39.37 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, over the same period last year.
The company had a net profit of Rs 51.37 crore in the same period ended March 2008, RCF said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,912.88 crore for the quarter ended March 2009 from Rs 1329.51 crore in the same last year.
The board of directors of the company proposed a final dividend at Rs 1.20 per equity share to the shareholders of the company for the year 2008-09.
For the year ended March 2009, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 211.58 crore, up 33.78 per cent from Rs 158.15 crore in the same period a year ago.
Shares of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers were trading at Rs 82.40, down 4.74 per cent on the BSE.
