Roopam Garg appointed India Head, New Business Development, GM, MEC North

Garg has been appointed to the newly created management position and will report to T Gangadhar, Managing Director, MEC India

MEC India has appointed Roopam Garg as All India Head-New Business Development and General Manager, MEC North.

This is a newly created management position and Garg will report to T Gangadhar, Managing Director, MEC India.

Before joining MEC, he was Chief Operating Officer, at Zenithoptimedia India and head of Performics (ZO’s digital arm).

Gangadhar said, "I am excited about working alongside someone with the pedigree and gravitas of Roopam. His appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in MEC’s journey. Given his rich experience in strategic planning, digital communication and business development, I am confident that he will bring value to our clients."

Garg has over 18 years of multi-regional experience across P&L management, new business development, strategic planning and digital communication. In his previous roles, he has led global planning for Reckitt Benckiser based out of ZO London. He has been the Managing Director, Publicis Groupe Media (ZO+SMG), Vietnam and planning head on P&G at Starcom China. Roopam’s experience also spans clients such as Colgate, Tata Group, Nokia, Honda, Toshiba, Coca- Cola, Nestle and Microsoft.
