S Kumars Nationwide, one of the leading domestic textile firms, has posted a decline of 33.67 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended December, 2008 at Rs 37.94 crore compared with Rs 57.20 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company's net sales during the period stood at Rs 604.31 crore against Rs 453.07 crore, up 33.38 per cent.
The expenditure on the raw material during the quarter increased to Rs 371.73 crore from Rs 297.40 crore last year. The company shares were closed at Rs 19.90, up 3.38 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
