Samir Nair joins Balaji Telefilms as group CEO

Former Star India CEO Samir Nair has joined Shobha and Ekta Kapoor-led production house Balaji Telefilms as Group CEO.

He took on his new role today and will head the company and all its subsidiaries, Balaji informed.

Nair's experience on television also includes heading NDTV Imagine, the general entertainment channel launched under a joint venture between NDTV and Turner International. The channel was shut down a couple of years back.
