Strides Arcolab Q4 net profit at Rs 69.66 cr

Drug firm Strides Arcolab today reported a standalone net profit of Rs 69.66 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 48.26 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Strides Arcolab said in a filing to the BSE.

The company's standalone total income from operations, however, rose to Rs 270.03 crore during the quarter under consideration as against Rs 256.73 crore in the year ago period.

For the full fiscal ended March 2015, the company posted a standalone net profit of Rs 532.32 crore. It was Rs 3,512.92 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.

The company's standalone total income from operations stood at Rs 929.41 crore for the fiscal ended March this year. It was Rs 1,063.84 crore for the previous fiscal.

Commenting on the results, Strides Arcolab Founder and Group CEO Arun Kumar said: "The quality of business and profitability has been hallmark of our FY15 performance. The merger with Shasun and re-entry into the Australian market will make us a fully integrated global pharmaceutical company with size and scale."

In a separate filing, Strides Arcolab said its Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 3 per share for the year ended March 31, 2015.

Strides Arcolab shares were trading 0.60 per cent down at Rs 1,180.80 per scrip during afternoon session on the BSE.
