Syntel CEO Ranade appointed as Executive Vice Chairman from Apr 21

Nitin Rakesh will be new CEO of Syntel

Prashant Ranade, the current Chief Executive Officer and President of Nasdaq-listed Syntel, will be taking over as the Executive Vice Chairman from April 21, the company said in a release today.
 
Syntel is a global information technology services and knowledge process outsourcing company.
 
The company’s board of directors has also appointed Nitin Rakesh as the Chief Executive Officer and President, succeeding Prashant Ranade effective from the same day, said Syntel.
Nitin Rakesh will be moving into this new role from his current position as President—Americas, Business Development and Near Shoring Center.
 
Before rejoining Syntel, Nitin served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, a financial services company, from September 2008 to September 2012. He previously developed and led Syntel's Knowledge Process Outsourcing business from 2002 until 2008, playing a pivotal role in building KPO into a high performing service line.
