The order is valued at Rs 820 crore, which is the single largest order received by the company till date.
The refinery is currently implementing significant capacity expansion slated to process upto 35 million TPA of crude.
The refinery's captive cogeneration plant will consist of 4 x 750 TPA( total 2400 MWt output). Pulversied coal fired boilers to be manufactured by the company under technology license from Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group Inc, US.
The high pressure steam will generate 390 MW of electricity and the balance energy produced will be used for process heating within the refinery.
Indonesian coal will be used as fuel to fire these boilers.
