United Spirits Q3 net up 71% at Rs 81 cr

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 2,174 cr for the third quarter, as against Rs 1,954 cr for the corresponding period of 2011-12 fiscal

United Spirits today posted an 71.16% increase in its net profit to Rs 80.55 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs Rs 47.06 crore for the same period of previous fiscal, United Spirits Ltd (USL) said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 2,174.01 crore for the third quarter, as against Rs 1,953.94 crore for the corresponding period of 2011-12 fiscal.

Shares of United Spirits today closed at Rs 1,855.75 on the BSE, down 0.53% from its previous close.
