Intoto on Thursday announced the launch of ParentalCQ, a next-generation home networking security solution. The product was showcased at a seminar at Westin in Taipei in Taiwan. The seminar on next-generation network gateways was co-hosted by Intoto and Intel.

The solution provides advanced web content control technology to OEMs to differentiate their gateway products.

Parental lCQ provides superior Internet access control and monitoring capabilities for home networks because it is part of the residential gateway rather than a host-based system, which typically requires more maintenance and can be easily compromised.

ParentalCQ's technology is based on dynamic, multi-layered Web filtering technology and multiple service points located around the world.

It can be can be integrated with Intoto's leading iGateway RGSOHO software platform solution, allowing OEMs to build the most advanced gateways in the market. Intoto Inc., is headquartered in Santa Clara in US.

Its entire research and development activity is carried out by the Indian arm. Intoto has made an investment of $ 6 million in Indian operations during the last four years.

Intoto announced it plans in March to invest $15 million in India over the next three years. The company recently secured $11million funding led by AsiaTech Management.

It has since moved its Hyderabad operations into a 20,000 new sqft facility in the city and also launched its Chennai operations.

and would focus on new product lines in the internet security segment, Murthy said. Since the upgradation of its iGateway platform in March, which is done quarterly, the company has launched three new products. They are iGateway SecureICP, IntruPro solution and Parental ICQ.

iGateway SecureICP allows equipment manufacturers to accelerate innovation and build highly secure, reliable and feature-rich ICPs.

Developed in partnership with D-Link India IntruPro provides greater intrusion detection and prevention accuracy for higher performance than traditional Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) approaches.
