“We’re looking at a $3.5 billion investment in India in the next two-three years. This would span across smart phones, software, TVs and other electronics,”Josh Fougler, vice president of Foxconn informed Naidu during an interaction, the chief minister’s office said quoting him.
The Xiaomi representatives told Naidu they were looking forward to build a working relationship with India and AP after an assurance from him was given on land and power supply. The company, represented by its president Lin Bin and vice president Hugo Barra.
Naidu also met representatives of Sinomach, a large Chinese machinery manufacturer, Shenzen Mary Photoelectric Company, Siemens and Sumec Group, a state-owned enterprise in China. Naidu invited some of them to visit AP to work on specific investment proposals and to sign MoUs during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s China visit in May.
