Zandu Pharma Q1 profit doubles at Rs 11.12 cr

Zandu Pharmaceutical Works, the manufacturer of ayurvedic health care products, today reported a growth of over twofold in its net profit for the quarter ended June at Rs 11.12 crore, over the corresponding period a year ago.

The company had a net profit of Rs 4.94 crore during the June quarter a year earlier, Zandu Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Total income rose marginally to Rs 31.91 crore in the latest quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 30.93 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Shares of Zandu Pharma today settled the trade at Rs 7,100.35, up 10.36 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
