The official Twitter account of Congress and Vice President Rahul Gandhi have been hacked on Thursday morning. This is the second time that Rahul Gandhi's official twitter account has been hacked. Several offensive and derogatory tweets have been posted.
Rahul's twitter account was also hacked on Wednesday evening and expletives were posted from the handle. The abusive tweets were later deleted. Eight tweets were posted in quick succession around 8:30 pm. One of the hacked posts read "My family is a bunch of corrupt....(expletives) retarded... (expletives)". The hackers also removed Rahul's profile picture and changed the title of the account from @OfficeOfRG to an abusive one.

The account was then restored and all objectionable tweets were removed later.

Congress said the hacking exposed the vulnerability of cyber security and digital platforms. It also said it's an eye opener for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The party had filed a complaint with the cyber cell of Delhi Police on Wednesday night after Rahul Gandhi's twitter account was hacked.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala reacted by tweeting, "@OfficeOfRG hacked. Such lowly tactics will never drown sane voice of reason nor deter Rahul Gandhi from raising people's issues. (sic)"

Surjewala added that Congress has fought "such hatred and animosity with Gandhian compassion and tolerance. Sabko Sanmati dey bhagwan (in hindi)".

He said that the cyber bullying should be "An eye opener for Modiji!"

On Wednesday, the hackers also removed Rahul's profile picture and changed the account title from @OfficeOfRG to Retarded gandhi.

The Congress said it smacked of "sinister conspiracy and reflected disturbing insecurities of prevalent fascist culture".
