Agitators says their livelihood has been affected due to the ban imposed on the company following alleged rape of a woman by one of its drivers

According to the protesters, their livelihood has been affected because of the ban imposed on the company, following alleged rape of a 27-year-old woman by one of its drivers.
One of the drivers said he had shifted to Uber and snapped ties with his earlier engagements. But after the ban, his regular source of income is no longer there. "There was nothing wrong with the company's operating model. It has helped a lot of drivers to become independent. One person did something wrong and all of us are now paying for it. And that person is yet to be punished, rather all of us are being punished," said the driver who did not want to be named.
"Uber should be permitted to operate in Delhi without a delay," said the protesters, who were engaged with Uber may continue to show protest at Jantar Mantar again tomorrow.
