Exporters and importers have shifted their activities from Mumbai to Ahmedabad because of the single-window clearance system offered at the latter city, said Kapil Rawat, regional general manager (North-West region) of the Container Corporation of India (Concor).

These include CFS facilities, LCL exports, imports, air-cargo, bonded truck facility, warehousing facilities etc.

Meanwhile, business at the inland container depot (ICD) at Sabarmati has increased over the years, Rawat said. He said Concor plans to invest Rs 4 crore as part of its expansion plans for ICD-Sabarmati.
