Ashok Sekhar Ganguly as RS nominated member

Former chairman of Hindustan Lever Ashok Sekhar Ganguly today took oath as a Nominated member of the Rajya Sabha.

Ganguly, a member of the Prime Minister's Council on Trade and Industry, will have a 6-year term.

After taking oath in English, he shook hands with Chairman Hamid Ansari and leaders of various political parties.

Ganguly is currently Chairman of Firstsource Solution Ltd and ABP Pvt Ltd. He has been a director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India since November 2002.

He is also member of the Investment Commission and the India-USA CEO Committee, set up by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the US President.
