The governments of India and China on Sunday discussed ways to increase bilateral trade beyond the current $65 billion a year by exploiting "untapped opportunities", including India setting up special industrial parks for Chinese firms.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj led their delegations into discussions that lasted three hours and focused primarily on boosting economic ties. Wang is on a two-day visit to India as the envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. At Sunday's meeting, Wang described Modi as an "old friend of China", who has visited the country several times.
