Modi invites NRIs to partner in development

| Speaking at the 'Interaction Gujarat Session' with NRIs on the occasion of Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Delhi, Modi apprised the success story of development and said good governance, investment-friendly government and integrated approach had led to industrial progress in the state, a release issued by the state government stated. |
| He further said that recently the Deutsche Bank Research Group had carried out an analysis on the investment-scenario of different states in India. The findings revealed that Gujarat scored the highest points in terms of socio-economic and infrastructure factors. |
| Extending an invitation to participate in the Kite Festival and Vishwa Gujarati Parivar Mohotsav being held from January 11-13, 2008, in Ahmedabad, Modi appealed to the NRIs to become a partner in further development of the state, which is now focused on human resource development. |
| In his welcome address, Gujarat Health, Tourism and NRG Minister, Jaynarayan Vyas also highlighted the opportunity of medical tourism in the state. |
