Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said today Pakistan will move to the negative list by February 2012 , which would result in a rise in the number of products coming for bilateral trade.
"Pakistan has agreed they will move from the positive list, which was coming in the way of trade normalisation to a short negative list," Sharma told PTI, providing an update on Pakistan granting the most-favoured nation (MFN) status to India.
The process of Pakistan granting MFN status to India is likely to be completed by end of 2012.
"Pakistan has said they will slowly move to the negative list by February 2012, which would also coincide with the Indian delegation's return visit to Pakistan, this will be stage one," he said.
