The Election Commission has ordered repolling at one polling station each in Chujachen and West Pendam assembly constituencies in Sikkim.

The repoll at the two stations was ordered after the votes polled for assembly and parliamentary seats did not tally, the Joint Chief Electoral Officer (JTCEO) C P Dhakal said today.

Further directive of the Central poll panel was awaited with regard to the date on which the repolling will take place, he said.

The elections for 32 assembly and lone parliamentary seats were held on April 30 last in which a record 82.10 per cent voters had exercised their franchise.
