Rjd Not To Claim Dal Symbol

The Rashtriya Janata Dal will not stake its claim on the poll symbol of the Janata Dal, the executive president of the party Ranjan Prasad Yadav told newspersons in a press conference yesterday.

The RJD has already been registered with the election commission.

He urged the Janata Dal members, including Prime Minister I K Gujral and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, to join the RJD.

We appeal to them to come to the Laloo Prasad Yadav fold which is the real Janata Dal, Yadav said.

He said RJD was supporting Gujral because he represents Bihar in the Rajya Sabha.
