"The Tata group will support the proposed 'Knowledge City' and the government’s efforts in skill-training of the youth,' an official release said quoting Tata during his meeting with Chief Minister Arjun Munda here.
His offer came when Munda said the company could play an important role in supporting the proposed "Knowledge City" under the group’s corporate social responsibility.
"The Tata group has an important relation with Jharkhand, and it will be stronger in future ... And will continue to be a partner in the state’s progress," Ratan Tata told Munda, the release said.
Munda, who recently said that the state government had plans to set up a "Knowledge City" in Khunti district, praised Tata group for its contribution in the development of Jharkhand and the nation as the group expanded with the passage of time.
The group’s Vice Chairman C Mistry accompanied Tata.
