The Telangana government would introduce Right to Single Window Services Bill, under which action will be taken if clearances for industrial projects are not given in a stipulated time, according to vice-chairman and managing director of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) Jayesh Ranjan.

Addressing a conference on manufacturing excellence here on Saturday, Ranjan said in the proposed industrial policy there would be provisions for projects to be cleared on self-certification.

Ranjan said micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) would be given higher incentives and packages, covering special technology development fund, panel of consultants for technical and managerial advices and sick units insurance fund.

Stating that up to three lakh acres of land would be made available for industrial projects in the state, he said this land would have all infrastructure facilities and would be ready-to-use by industrialists.  All issues pertaining to the land would be dealt with before allotment.

Industries and commerce special secretary K Pradeep Chandra said the state government was planning to establish a Research and Innovation Centre of Hyderabad to strengthen the interaction between research institutions, educational organisations and the industry to get best results.

He said the proposed industrial policy would contain a lot of initiatives, including setting up of skill development centres within the industrial parks.

The state government also has a medium- and long-term road map for strengthening the power infrastructure, which was critical for promotion of the industry.

The conference, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with the state government, deliberated on "Telangana - the next big opportunity; best practices from other states". A panel discussion was also held on innovation and sustainable growth in manufacturing.
