The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the results of class 12th exams at a press conference in Pune. The total pass percentage is 89.50, which is about 2.9 per cent increase from last year’s percentage.
 
The board has uploaded the results May 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM.  Students can check their results from the official websites mahresults.nic.in, and maharashtraeducation.com. Due to heavy online traffic, it is likely that the candidates may have a difficult time checking the results. They are advised to check again after few minutes.
 
The students can also receive their scores through SMS by:

For BSNL: MHHSC<space><seat number> and send it to 57766
For Idea, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata, BSNL: MAH12<space><roll number> and send it to 58888111
 
Candidates can also get their results by USSSD code.  Airtel, Idea, Vodafone and Aircel have to dial USSD string *588# to get MSBSHSE HSC results 2017.
 
Maharashtra HSC results 2017 vs 2016

Last year, the results were released on May 25, 2016. An estimated 14 lakh students appeared for the HSC examination last year. The passing percentage for girls was 90.50, compared to 83.46 of boys.  Last year out of nine regional divisions, Konkan topped the list with passing percentage of 93.20 and with Nasik division lagging at 83.89%. In 2017 to, Kokan division is leading with 95.20%.
 
While 83.46% boys were successful, girls outnumbered them with a passing percentage of 90.50.Pune Divisional Board scored 87.26%, Aurangabad Divisional Board scored 87.80% and Latur scored 86.28 % marks. Mumbai, that has the highest number of students scored a passing percentage of 86.08.
 
Maharashtra HSC results 2017

This year, a total of 15,05,365 students registered for the examination - 8,48,929 boys and 6,56,436 girls - from 9,143 junior colleges across the state. From Pune, as many as 2,42,628 students appeared.
 
The maximum students are from science faculty, 5,59,423, followed by arts, 5,09,124 and commerce 3,73,870. The minimum competency vocational course (MCVC) saw 62,148 students appearing for the examination. There were a total of 2,710 examination centres across the nine divisions of Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan.
