Six persons were injured in a clash between AIADMK and DMK workers at a booth in Tenkasi constituency in the district during the polling in Lok Sabha elections today, police said.

The clash erupted after DMK agents in the booth at Pottalputhur objected to a local Panchayat Chairman allegedly seeking vote for AIADMK by showing the victory sign (which also denotes the two leaves symbol of the ruling party).

Three persons each from DMK and AIADMK were injured in the clash and later admitted to hospital, police said.
