The Punjab National Bank (PNB) has registered an impressive annual growth of 35 per cent in the last fiscal year, said the bank's chairman K.R.Kamath on Monday here.
“Total business of PNB in the state has crossed Rs 12,400 crore in the last fiscal year,” said Kamath. “Deposits grew by 39 per cent to reach Rs 9400 crore.Advances registered a robust annual growth of 24 per cent to reach Rs 3000 crore,” he said.
The bank claims to contribute to 24 per cent of the banking system in Himachal. With 259 branches and 156 ATMs PNB has a presence in all 12 districts of the state.
Its sister bank the Himachal Gramin Bank has another 125 branches as well.
