Vijaya Bank Q2 net dips 24% at Rs 80 cr

Public sector lender Vijaya Bank today said its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 witnessed a 24.10% dip at Rs 79.88 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.     

The state-run bank had a net profit of Rs 105.25 crore in Q2 of last fiscal, Vijaya Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.     

Total income rose 34% to Rs 1,409.25 crore in the reviewed quarter from Rs 1,051.26 crore in the year-ago period.     

Shares of Vijaya Bank were trading at Rs 31.05, down 6.90% in afternoon trade on the BSE.
