In his victory speech, a surprisingly mellow Republican Donald Trump was gracious enough to talk about his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton that she ought to be appreciated the way she ran her campaign. Trump did mention of Hillary congratulating him over a phone call in his speech. Following are the key points from Clinton's concession speech, which is unusually late considering it was delivered nine hours later after the results' announcement.

- She says that she congratulated Donald Trump and hopes that he serve the America best.

On an emotional tone, she says, "This is not the outcome we wanted. I’m sorry we did not win this election for the values we share and the vision we hold for our country."

- Addressing her campaign supporters She adds, "I feel pride and gratitude for this campaign. You have represented the best of America."

- She expresses her sadness by saying, "I feel the disappointment; this is painful and will be for a long time," adding, "We have seen that our country is more deeply divided than we thought."

- Speaking on Trump she said, "Trump will become our president. We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead. We must accept this result and look to the future. The American dream is big enough for everyone."

- Explaining about the American democratic (not her party values) she emphasises that the responsibility of citizens is to keep doing their part of building better, stronger, fairer America as all seek.

- She further adds, "Democracy does demand participation. I still believe in America. And if you do too, you must accept the results of the election. Our constitutional democracy requires our participation, not just every four years, but all the time."

- Thanking Obama couple she says graciously, "To Barack and Michelle Obama, our country owes you an enormous debt of gratitude."

- On election loss she further tells, "Our campaign was never about one person...it was about the country we love. I am sorry that we did not win this election for the values we share. Make sure your voices are heard going forward."

- Remembering her wish to break the glass ceiling inside the Javits Centre in Manhattan if she had won the presidency, she says, "We have still not shattered that glass ceiling, but somebody someone will."

- Trying to cheer her campaign volunteers, she says, "Nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion. Please never stop believing that fighting for what is right is worth it."

- Adding, "To all the girls out there: you are valuable, powerful and deserve to pursue your own dreams."

- Expressing a hope, she notes, "Let us not grow weary, let us not lose faith in each other. We are stronger together and will go forward together. And you should never, ever regret fighting for that."

- She ended her speech by saying, "May God bless the United States of America."
