IIM-L awards diploma to 581 students

109 students from PGP in WMP, 67 students from IPMX at the Noida campus also received diploma

Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) has awarded diploma to 581 students, enrolled at its Lucknow and Noida campuses.

Those graduating include 381 students from the 27th batch of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management, 19 students from the 8th batch of PGP in Agri-business Management (ABM) and 6 students from the Doctoral programme.

Besides, 109 students from PGP in Management for Working Executives (WMP) and 67 students from International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) at the Noida campus received diploma.

IIM-L Director Devi Singh said the Institute’s financial position continued to become stronger even without government grants and it had been effectively managed its revenue and costs. He said IIM-L believed in the concept of ethics in business and corporate world.

During academic year 2012-13, IIM-L recognised research and consultancy as a key thrust area, driving several socially relevant research and consultancy projects in agriculture, entrepreneurship, health management, education, IT and rural development.

Nearly 80 research contributions from its faculty members were published during the year, 13 new consultancy assignments were initiated, 27 assignments were in progress and 3 assignments had been completed.

The Centre for Food and Agribusiness Management had completed a mega project on Learning & Capacity Building (L&CB) component of the National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP), where 658 participants had been trained in the last 4 years.

The year saw the highest number of corporate executives visiting the campus for Management Development Programmes (MDP) with the figure touching 2,140.
