The stock opened at Rs 2,390 and hit a low of Rs 2,325 on NSE so far. Till 1002 hours, a combined 130,823 shares changed hands on the counter on NSE and BSE.
Bajaj Auto said the motorcycles sales were down by 12% at 246,955 units in January this year as compared to 281,390 units in the same month last year, Bajaj Auto said in a statement.
The commercial vehicles sales, however, were up by 14% at 41,791 units in January 2015 as against 36,781 units in January 2014. The exports of the company stood at 142,992 units as compared to 137,644 units in last year. The exports figures were highest ever for any January, it added.
