Bajaj Auto gains on product launch plans

The stock extended gains and touched a high of 1,517 - up 2%. The stock finally ended with a gain of 1% at Rs 1,506. Over 26,830 shares were traded on the BSE today.

Bajaj Auto has advanced in trades today on plans of product launch.

The stock opened at Rs 1,491 and touched a low of Rs 1,477. The stock rebounded over 2% from there to touch a high of Rs 1,513. It is now trading with a gain of 1.3% at Rs 1,510. Around 4,713 shares have been traded on the BSE so far.

The company has decided to launch premium, entry-level bikes after competetion hit a high gear. Last year the two wheeler sales of the company had fallen the most in the industry and this is a measure to rebound from that.
