Buying Binge Snaps Four-Day Losing Streak

Renewed buying interest helped the Bombay Stock Exchange sensex settle 36.26 points higher on Thursday at 3,217.15, ending the decline seen in the past four consecutive sessions.
The index traded in a narrow range of 32 points, registering an intra-day high of 3,221.60 and an intra-day low of 3,189.96. On the NSE, the S&P CNX Nifty Index gained 4.35 points to close at 1,048.55.
The volume of trade also improved, with technology stocks remaining highly active.
